Just before the summer we decided it would be great to welcome and officially open the summer season. The party was great, with a barrel of Budvar beer (not to be confused with American Budweiser) and grilled Bavarian pig hocks. Delicious! 30 litres of beer for 2 persons for 2 days. Started Saturday, Sunday noon the barrel was empty. <HIC>

The place with our countryhouse. Both summer and winter place to go. Superb nature all around, with a lake. Great place to go and relax and do either nothing or anything you like. With a wine cellar of its own.

One of those days Jenny (the gal from Down Under) phoned and suggested she'd come up to Europe (to see for herself how civilised people live). We met in Schoenbrunn in Vienna. I think this is Sissi's summer residence. That is, unless I am mistaken.

The things:

1. A friend of mine closed the door. So far so good. The bad news: the keys were in the lock. From inside. The worst news - he had to climb up there to get inside. He succeeded at last.

2. That very day I went with a friend of mine to help him transport a car he had just bought. A Lancia. The village in the middle of nowhere was charming, especially in the falling snow.
